Did a lot of background project reading this morning. So much, in fact, that I have turned by brain to stewed cabbage. Also, my eye is swelling up rather disturbingly. It did this last night too and I made the mistake of looking in the mirror. Under these circumstances, I cancelled my german lunchtime language exchange. I'm not quite ready for practicing my debating skills in this level of adversity.

Also, the following episodes in the Golden Compass trilogy are apparently in jeopardy following protests by the Catholic church. How about them being in jeopardy because the film makers fucked the first one up so badly, they've nowhere else to go with it?

Today I will make comfort food to nourish my cabbage-brain. Macaroni and cheese, with a tin of tuna thrown in for variety. While it bakes in the oven I hope to get some housework done. Hah.
